  My mother enrolled me in their pre-school program in 1990. Some of my best, most pure childhood memories are from this church. I can still remember being on the playground when austin would have the hot air balloon festival, seeing the sky filled with balloons as a child is magical.
  
  I learned to swim at this church, and made my first best friend (Luke Montgomery) who I never saw again after preschool.
  
  Will visit again. This church and its staff has a very special place in my heart.

  First Baptist Church of Austin is a loving congregation where all types of people can find a spiritual home. You can bring your struggles and questions and find folks to support you on your journey. You can bring your gifts and find ways to use them for the benefit of the Austin community. We have a children's program that develops faith for a lifetime. Our Sunday worship is creative in a blended / traditional style, with an especially strong music program. We have 4th- and 5th-generation Austin families, and we have newcomers. Alternative worship services and contemplative prayer groups meet every week. And we have the best preacher in town! Come for a visit, and you will be welcome.

  Im now homeless and the first baptist church of austin have saved me and my wife from being rained on and kept us safe.
