  • Victory Christian Center School is amazing! I have known them for several years and have always been impressed with the level of respect they have for students, the work they do, and their willingness to assist with any and all problems!

My son attended this daycare since he was 14 months old for 10 months. Ms. Hortencia was his primary caregiver until he was 18 months old and my son loves her. But the director, Cherice, was really piece of work that I had pulled my son out of this place.

First incident. My son was bitten on the arm by another child. The teeth mark was still clearly visible hours after I picked him up. So I called Cherice and asked her to pay attention to my son so the caregiver can keep the child who bit my son away from him. She responded "we cannot give preferential treatment to children." I wasn't asking for special treatment for my son. I only asked to keep the other kid a distance so he won't bite my son again. But her mind was impermeable that she couldn't understand the point I tried to make.

Several months later my son was bitten again. This time the daycare didn't even know who bit him. So I spoke with Cherice again. She replied this could happen to any child in any daycare. But the problem this time was the caregiver did not have my son in her sight, meaning she was not watching him. That was negligence! Cherice replied "we will do our best." and she kept repeating that statement like I was going to sue the daycare.

Last incident was when my son was 24 months old. I went to pick up my son one day and saw there was an inch long scratch mark on his face. My first question to the caregiver was why no one from daycare called me about this when it happened 10 in the morning? The caregiver said she told the front desktop to call me. Then I asked what happened? She said she didn't know. It happened when she was on break. The caregiver covered her while she was on break didn't see what happened. At this point I was quite upset how my son was treated at this daycare. So I spoke with Cherice again. I said so no one saw what happened?! She responded "No one saw what happened but your son was very active. So he might have scratched himself." First of all, no one saw what happened so she was speculating rumors. Second, how could she accuse a child who cannot even speak and defend himself?! Then Cherice replied "I am just saying it's a possibility." I wanted to smack some common sense into her but I decided to be the bigger man and pulled my son out after this conversation.

My fiance has been going to this church for a little over a year off and on, and has never asked for anything from them. Tonight he swallowed his pride and asked for some rent assistance, and was told they don't help with that. Kinda funny that people give offerings, but when we need the church to back us up they're not there. We'll be finding another church to visit in the future. Just a warning to everyone visiting this church is FAKE!! Pastor David might as well be a child molester!! We're stand up people who just hit a rough patch, and we just needed a hand up. This church is NOT of God!! May Jesus have mercy on your souls!!

I called and asked if they would have any volunteering available for the summer. I told them the church was on a list of agencies available to volunteer at, for my university. The lady I was speaking with asked if I went to church there and when I said no, her tone kind of changed. She said they would have to know my background for that and I asked, okay do you guys do a background check or anything? She said one second, and put me on hold. As I was patiently waiting, I began to think to myself of how I was looking to join a new church. Until a lady came on ever so rudely and said, hiii my name is Cindy, we wouldn't have that kind of thing here for you to do. I said so you guys don't have any type of volunteering? She said no only for different festivities but no. Sorrrrrryyyyyy. As I was saying thank you she was quick to just say uh-huh bye and hangup rudely! They couldn't have cared less about what I had to say, and if they are an approved agency on the list at my university I'm sure it's not BS, like what they said!
